Happy New Year, Welcome 2016!
Time flies so fast, indeed! Year 2015 ended, and it has been a very good year for me. There are lots of blessings I should be really thankful of from the past year. First in line is, I passed the licensure examination for chemists! Followed by getting my first job only after less than a month. Third, although there are some problems on our family, we still celebrated together during Christmas. God worked on us and things went into right places before the year ended. Fourth, having my Kuya during Chirstmas together with my nieces, nephew and sister-in-law is a bonus. It rarely happens and I greatly appreciate his effort to keep in touched with us.
Well, of course, these things are not the only ones that I am thankful. God is very good on providing me the guidance I need and the good health, not only for me but for the whole family. Although my mother was confined on the hospital and it breaks the history (as she never get that sick to be confined on a hospital), it is not that serious and her general check-up went well and and there are no problems seen. Her doctor even told us that she had outstanding health despite her age! Well, maybe she is so sensitive on scents to lost consciousness that easy. Given that, financial problems are here and there, but still, God provides for our needs.
Here is a timeline for what I did on 2015!
January. After not having a very good (but still good) 2014, I promised myself that this year, I’ll be back on track and continue to fulfill the things I haven’t yet done. First in line is to get a good review to pass the examination. I started planning for that on January and actually did a great job on following my schedule as I almost finished reading and studying a general chemistry book.
February. Hearts here and hearts there. There are not much of things I did on February.
March. I realized that to get something, one should decide to let go of the things that may cause problems later on. And finally, even its hard, I finally did it. I finally shut my phone off! HAHA! And, focus on what I really needed to do.
April. As what they say, do something that makes you happy but still gives you positive growth. Also, one at a time, fulfilling dreams will be easy. On this month, I finally fulfilled one of my dreams. It is to create a blog! I experimented on blogging using different platforms and found my heart on using wordpress. There, I tested writing some articles to test my blogging (writing) skills. I should have that skill to be a former writer of a student publication. 😛 I hope, while you read throughout my blog, I am not a failure. Please consider? 🙂 Also, on the same month, I fulfilled another dream, it is getting my own domain and website. It is a bit funny that domains are easy to get these days but still, I am so happy to have not only one, but two! Mababaw kasi ang kaligayahan ko, in tagalog. 😀 I combined studying and blogging and it seems effective. I blog when I need some time to absorb what I read and studied.
May. It is my birth month! And in this month, I am now of legal age of 18! Oops. I guess you believe me. But don’t. I turned 21 but still have a face of being a teen. Haha. Yes, I am not that good on cracking jokes, that’s already given. This month, I got the guts to launched my blog and let it get online publicly. There are lots of things to learn. It is not just writing what you want but to write by heart and effectively to your target audience. I never thought it is that hard. But, it is a challenge accepted! On the same month, I’ve been a part of Google Adsense family and I am very proud to get accepted on the monetization platform. Considering that other bloggers are getting a hard time to have it. Here, I am a newbie blogger got accepted easily!
June. I had written my first ever thorough product review on mid-May and I started getting a relatively huge amount of traffic from visitors that wanted to read a decent gadget review. Later on, I saw myself to be a bit out of my schedule and started to cope up to the things I missed.
July – August. I focused on reviewing and answering practice exams on these months and I rarely have time to write a new article on my blog. However, I still manage to post some article from time to time. During this time, my blog is getting acceptable and stable traffic considering that I am online for only a few months.
September. It is the licensure examination month! There is somewhat a pressure here but I managed to bear it. Unlike the past year, I came to the examination room more prepared and confident. This confidence did not fail me and I finally passed the exam! The results were released only after a day of examination. I guess it is to reduce the burden of exam takers, unlike the past year that it took 9 days for results to be available.
October. I registered a new domain again and here it is. It is the domain/website where this article is sitted. I also got my first job during October, only less than a month after passing the board exam. There are many Filipinos that do not have a stable or regular work, and I, here, got a promising job! I started to met new friends from the same field, both from oath-taking for new chemist and on my work.
November. My schedule started to tighten due to work and I never had the chance to update my blogs. Well, it’s okay because it is time to do other things for a better future.
December. The last month of 2015 had been a very busy month for me. Workload became literally heavy and I need to give some extra time just to get the job done. Working on a holiday? Why not? Of course, Christmas Day is excluded here. Working on 24th, days after Christmas, 30th and 31st reflects that I am now a part of the labor force! Do you know the feeling of leaving an industrial compound yesterday that seems like a haunted village? There are no other people left there except for us who do technical support for the main lab in US.
Summing what I did on 2015, it is not that much but it is not a bad start! I am looking forward for 2016 to be as good as 2015. “Better” is a plus! and “Best” will be the greatest blessing I will ever had.
Last but not the least, thank you for all the people that made my 2015 colorful and challenging.
